Canmore Nordic Center

Location: Canmore, AB

Scope of work:

Hybrid building utilizing structural steel, concrete, and mass timber.
Installation of glulam columns, beams, and GLT panels for the roof and exterior decks on the second-floor level.

Fort McKay Community Center

Location: Fort McKay, AB

Scope of work:

Provided labour and equipment, including hoisting and shoring, to install an engineered mass timber skeletal structure.
Provided wood framing to complete the walls and roof system.

Scope of work:

Structural glulam columns and beams.

Edmonton Federated Community League Structure Located in Hawrelak Park

Location: Edmonton, AB

Scope of work:

Provided labor and equipment, including hoisting, to create the curved intermittent roof lines.
Materials to clad the steel columns.
Built all associated wooden walkways for the project.

Mount Carmel Chapel and Bridge

Location: Parkland County, AB

Scope of work:

Installation of glulam beams and trusses.
CLT wall and roof installation.
140 ft clear span glulam bridge, connecting two buildings.

Grace Village

Location: Edmonton, AB

Scope of work:

Provided labor and equipment, including hoisting, to frame the wooden structure.
Installed all glulam accent details as well as all wood decking for the project.

Location: Sweetgrass, SK

Scope of work:

Provided the labor, equipment and hoisting to construct the engineered Mass timber roof system including installation of GLT panels.

Location: Saddle Lake, AB

Scope of work:

Provided labor, equipment and hoisting to complete roof systems using mass timber as well as some of the walls within the primary concrete structure.

Sacred Heart Parish

Location: Strathmore, AB

Scope of work:

This project was a conversion of a former grocery store into a church.
MYTEC was involved in structurally retrofitting certain existing elements within the remaining structure.
Framing of new walls and installation of a new large, vaulted roof system over the main congregation area.

Parkside North Griesbach Townhomes

Location: Edmonton, AB

Scope of work:

This net zero project is one of the first of its kind.
MYTEC prefabricated the wall panels and erected the structures, providing all required labor, equipment, and hoisting to complete the project.

Canmore Multiplex/Elevation Place

Location: Canmore, AB

Scope of work:

MYTEC provided labour and equipment to install Glulam systems in various parts of this project. This included 106’ clear span glulam beams weighing approximately 34,000 lbs. spanning over the aquatics center for roof support.

Meadows Recreation Centre

Location: Edmonton, AB

Scope of work:

Provided all labour and equipment to install the mass timber roof system on this massive recreation center for the City of Edmonton. It featured clear-span glulam roof beams and glulam purlins covered over with tongue-and-groove decking and plywood overlay. Also featured were twin ice arenas that had hybrid glulam trusses clearly spanning each arena, again with glulam purlins and tongue-and-groove decking and plywood overlaid on the roof system. The majority of the roof system remains exposed to view inside the community center, lending a warm, earthy atmosphere.

Scope of work:

Supplied both the labour and materials to erect the structure and roof system over.

Location: Edmonton, AB

Scope of work:

Provided labour and equipment to install glulam and GLT roof systems on select parts of the station.

Athabasca Academic Research Centre

Location: Athabasca, AB

Scope of work:

Provided labour and equipment to install glulam roof beams supported on central steel struts positioned on concrete columns. This roof system features NLT (nail laminated timber) panels spanning between the glulam roof beams and remaining as a visible finished ceiling in this project.

Earl's South Edmonton Common

Location: Edmonton, AB

Scope of work:

MYTEC provided labour and equipment to frame the exterior structure, interspersed with structural steel, and install the glulam roof beams supported by the visible glulam support struts, giving this building a modern timber appearance inside.
